Job summary

Kitty Hawk Kites, Inc. is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator for on-site seasonal work in Kill Devil Hills. The role encompasses planning, logistics, and hands-on event execution from setup to teardown across company-hosted events and community activations.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Retail, Recreation, Warehouse, and Operations, ensuring safety, brand compliance, and a welcoming guest experience during peak seasons and weekend slots.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in events, hospitality, tourism, recreation, retail, marketing coordination, or guest-experience environments.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with multiple deadlines.
• Comfort taking initiative and guiding seasonal team members and partners on event day.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event work plans, schedules, checklists, staffing, materials, equipment, transportation, setup and teardown.
• Support activations including festivals, Kids Days, sponsorship events, promotions, and community partnerships.
• Maintain event records, due dates, status updates, and follow-up in project tools; flag risks early.
• Coordinate messaging, signage, promotional materials, demonstrations, giveaways, and content capture with multiple teams.
• Prepare and reconcile event materials and inventory, including tents, tables, signage, and safety supplies.
• Provide day-of direction and support to seasonal team members and volunteers.
