Job summary

Visit.org is seeking an experienced Freelance Event Specialist to manage logistics for in-person events in the Pittsburgh area. The role focuses on on-site coordination, vendor liaison, and guest experience in a startup-like, mission-driven environment.

You will join planning calls, manage setup and teardown, and work with a diverse team to deliver high-quality experiences. This is a per-event contract with opportunities for ongoing freelance work.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Based in Pittsburgh, PA, United States.
• Schedule flexibility for per-event engagements.
• Experience with large-scale events and executive-level occasions.
• Capable of high-quality customer experience and on-site problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event logistics, ship materials, and staff for each event.
• Join virtual planning meetings with partners and Visit.org team.
• Be on-site to set up, operate, and tear down the event; ensure a stellar guest experience.
• Represent Visit.org on-site, lead and problem-solve during events.
• Manage check-in and guest welcome; resolve issues with the onsite team.
• Provide updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team during events.
• Break down after events and pack materials for shipment.
