Job summary

Veolia is hiring for an onsite role in Mesa, AZ, to manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with EPA and DOT regulations. The position involves handling waste safely, performing site inspections, documenting shipments, and maintaining inventory control.

Qualifications

2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack.
Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toe shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator as needed.
Reading, writing and speaking in English.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes in accordance with policies and procedures.
Perform routine site inspections to meet environmental requirements.
Prepare compliant labeling and shipping documents for waste shipments to approved facilities.
Perform cleanup of small leaks or spills per health and safety guidelines.
Operate and move containers using forklift and pallet jack as needed.
Inventory and label containers in accordance with EPA and DOT regulations.
