Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Technician, Engineering - Onsite to assist engineers, scientists, and teams in developing and analyzing products, materials, processes, or equipment.

The role involves building prototypes, testing per engineering instructions, and ensuring quality while coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams. This is a full-time onsite position with a defined 11/9/2026–11/8/2027 engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical work experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Provide preliminary equipment and prototype drawings and specifications.
• Bench fixturing/tooling design experience.
• Experience working with external vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and construct prototypes/products from concepts.
• Independently propose creative solutions based on solid rationales.
• Support development and implementation of capable manufacturing processes.
• Oversee development builds for the project.
• Provide DFM input to the engineering team.
• Contribute ideas for Intellectual Property submissions.
• Prepare and present technical data at technical reviews.
