Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a detail-oriented Test Equipment Services specialist. You will monitor, locate, and schedule movement of test equipment, perform inventories, and support internal customers with procurement of new and pre-owned tools.

The role requires working onsite, lifting up to 50 lbs, and coordinating shipping for external calibration and repairs. SAP knowledge is desirable, and you will track Government Owned Property to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma and AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required as travel between local buildings and to regional offsite locations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and comfortable walking long distances as this position requires extended periods of time away from a desk.
• Must be able to lift large pieces of test equipment (up to 50 lbs.) from a variety of different heights on a regular basis.
• Lifting heavier equipment is occasional but should be done with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, locate, and schedule movement and control of test equipment; perform inventories to keep records complete and up to date.
• Retrieve and distribute existing test equipment to customer locations based on demand.
• Assist internal customers with procurement of new and pre-owned test equipment, parts and supplies.
• Manage multiple tasks for multiple internal customers simultaneously.
• Coordinate shipping for external calibration and repair services; work with Procurement Specialists to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Track Government Owned Property and ensure compliance with government regulations related to contracts.
