Job summary

USILLUMINATIONS is seeking a Sales Manager to generate new business and close commercial sales across LED lighting, EV charging, and energy-efficiency solutions in the Akron area. This hands-on, consultative role involves identifying opportunities, presenting solutions, and managing capital projects with cross-functional teams.

Candidate will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, travel to customer sites as needed, and work within a driving-distance footprint of Akron.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development and B2B sales, with a track record of closing deals.
• Ability to prospect, qualify opportunities, and manage complex sales cycles.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business: identify, prospect, and acquire commercial and industrial customers.
• Build customer relationships with key decision-makers across multiple sectors.
• Sell energy solutions: LED, EV charging, and energy-efficiency upgrades.
• Identify capital improvement opportunities and engage customers on budgets and investments.
• Support capital planning by aligning projects with customer needs and budgets.
• Manage the sales cycle from site visits to proposals, negotiations, and close.
• Communicate value focusing on operating costs, energy savings, ROI, and long-term value.
• Grow strategic accounts for repeat business and multi-location opportunities.
• Maintain sales visibility with CRM, pipeline, and leadership reporting.
• Represent USI at industry events to develop relationships and market opportunities.
