Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to safely reprocess endoscopy equipment and manage supplies in the Operating Room. This full-time, on-site role supports patient care with day shifts and 40 hours per week at PARDEEHOSP.

Required: high school diploma, Endoscopy CRCST/CSPDT/CST certification, and BLS. Prior endoscopy experience preferred to enhance performance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Endoscopy Technician Certification (CRCST, CSPDT, CST).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs pressure leak testing on endoscopes.
• Cleans endoscopes per manufacturers instructions to remove bioburden.
• Inspects scopes for damage and performs ATP testing as appropriate.
• Prepares scope for high level disinfection in scope washing machine.
• Ensures surfaces are dry before storing in scope drying cabinet.
• Manages supplies within the department and ensures availability for safe care.
