Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is hiring an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist (OES) to join our team in hospital environments, providing hands-on support for advanced medical devices from preparation to operation.

You will collaborate with OR, SPD, and BioMed teams, gain exposure to cutting-edge video systems, and have clear pathways for growth across sales, leadership, and education, with relocation and training benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, sales, or other clinical settings.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in fast-paced teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management with multitasking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on, face-to-face support to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams, ensuring seamless use of KARL STORZ equipment.
  • Set up and support video towers and integrated systems for surgical procedures.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate replacement of instruments and equipment.
  • Transport, clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments for use.
  • Manage repair processes, track equipment status, and facilitate service transactions.
  • Troubleshoot real-time equipment issues in the operating room to support successful procedures.

About the Role

In this hands‑on, customer‑facing role, you will support advanced medical devices—from precision instruments to state‑of‑the‑art video systems—directly within a hospital environment.

You will work closely with Operating Room (OR), Sterile Processing (SPD), and BioMed teams to ensure surgical readiness and successful outcomes. Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: Shift start times may be as early as 6:30 AM and end as late as 6:30 PM based on hospital schedules and business needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide hands‑on, face‑to‑face support to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams, ensuring seamless use of KARL STORZ equipment
  • Set up and support video towers and integrated systems for surgical procedures
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate replacement of instruments and equipment

What You Bring

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate in fast‑paced, service‑driven teams
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
Nice to Have:
  • Associate’s degree
  • CRCST certification or interest in obtaining certification
  • Experience supporting surgical equipment or medical devices
