Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist to support surgical teams in hospital environments. In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you will ensure equipment readiness, operate video towers and integrated systems, and coordinate repairs.

This onsite position runs Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, with opportunities to grow across sales, education, clinical support, and other areas within KARL STORZ.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, healthcare, medical device support, or related clinical environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to OR, SPD, and Biomedical Engineering teams to ensure instruments are available, functional, and procedure-ready.
  • Set up, operate, and support KARL STORZ video towers and integrated surgical systems for scheduled procedures.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs or replacements for KARL STORZ instruments and equipment.
  • Transport, clean, sterilize, package, and organize surgical instruments in accordance with hospital and company standards.
  • Manage repair workflows, monitor equipment status, and facilitate service and exchange transactions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues in real-time within surgical environments to minimize disruptions and support successful procedural outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clinical staff while delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you will support advanced medical technologies, from precision surgical instruments to state-of-the‑art video systems, directly within a hospital environment.

Working side‑by‑side with Operating Room (OR), Sterile Processing (SPD), and Biomedical Engineering teams, you will help ensure equipment readiness and support successful surgical outcomes. This highly collaborative role provides valuable exposure to clinical environments while offering a strong foundation for career growth across sales, leadership, education, clinical support, and other areas within KARL STORZ.

This position is onsite and works Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, healthcare, medical device support, sales, or other clinical environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and reporting tools.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to supporting clinical excellence.
Nice to Have
  • Associate's degree.
  • CRCST certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience supporting surgical instruments, endoscopic equipment, or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with hospital operating room or sterile processing workflows.
