Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist (OES) to join our team in a hospital environment in Portland, Oregon. You will provide hands-on support for endoscopic imaging, instrumentation, and visualization systems, interfacing with OR, SPD, and BioMed teams to keep equipment ready for procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare, sterile processing, surgical technology, medical device support, customer service, sales, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across clinical and operational teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support and technical expertise to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams, ensuring seamless surgical operations.
• Set up, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot video towers, camera systems, light sources, and related technologies.
• Support surgical procedures by responding to equipment issues in real time and minimizing workflow disruptions.
• Coordinate repairs, exchanges, service requests, and inventory tracking to maintain readiness.
• Transport, clean, sterilize, package, and inspect instruments per hospital policies.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals by delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.
