Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist to serve as PAGNY's labor and employee relations presence at assigned affiliate sites. The role involves administering collective bargaining agreements, conducting workplace investigations, responding to grievances, and guiding site leadership on contract application and discipline.

The Specialist will report to the Director, Labor and Employee Relations and will coordinate with PAGNY Corporate HR

Qualifications

• Interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements, MOAs, and side letters.
• Conducting workplace investigations including interviewing witnesses and respondents.
• Advising site leadership on contract application, compensation provisions, and seniority.
• Supporting contract negotiations and the implementation of new agreements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply the collective bargaining agreements, memoranda of agreement, and side letters governing assigned sites, and identify which instrument controls a given question.
• Research contract questions in the source agreements and state findings with citation to the operative text.
• Advise site leadership and PAGNY Corporate Human Resources on contract application, including compensation provisions, differentials, leave, and seniority.
• Support the Director in preparing for contract negotiations and implementing newly executed agreements.
