Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) seeks an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist to be PAGNY’s labor relations presence at assigned affiliates, reporting to the Director, Labor and Employee Relations. The role covers contract administration, investigations, and advisory support on discipline and contract application.

Responsibilities include interpreting CBAs, researching questions with citations, advising on leaves, differentials, and seniority, and assisting in contract

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of employee and labor relations experience in a unionized environment.
• Ability to read and apply contract language precisely and to locate the governing provision among multiple amending agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, well-supported written investigative findings, grievance responses, and correspondence.
• Discretion and the ability to handle confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply the collective bargaining agreements and related instruments governing assigned sites.
• Research contract questions and cite operative text.
• Advise site leadership on contract application, including compensation provisions, differentials, leave, and seniority.
• Support the Director in preparing for contract negotiations and implementing new agreements.
