Panasonic Energy of North America in Kansas is offering an Emergency Management Intern position for a 12-week, paid summer program at the Gigafactory. The role supports the KS Emergency Manager and the Emergency Management team in developing and improving the all-hazards program, with exposure to preparedness, planning, training and exercises.

Requirements include at least two years in a relevant bachelor's program, minimum 3.2 GPA, and authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail and professionalism.
• Interest in emergency management, preparedness, business continuity or public safety.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines and work both independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and organization of Emergency Management plans, procedures and related documentation.
• Assist with all-hazards preparedness activities for severe weather, hazmat, and facility disruptions.
• Participate in meetings, planning sessions and continuous-improvement projects.
• Assist with incident documentation, logs, notifications and after-action follow-ups.
• Support coordination across Emergency Management, Security, Operations, and Facilities.
