Job summary

University of California – UCLA Health Emergency Care Unit (ECU) seeks an Administrative Clinical Care Partner to support patient care in a fast-paced academic health system. You will work under direct supervision of registered nurses to help deliver safe, timely support to patients in need.

In this role, you will perform essential basic patient care tasks including vital signs, specimen collection, hygiene assistance, positioning, transfers and transport, ROM exercises, and support with feeding

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Foreign trained RN considered; CNA certification required within one year.
• Graduate from an approved nursing program; CNA certification required within one year.
• Knowledge of basic computer fundamentals preferred.
• Ability to speak clearly and distinctly using appropriate English vocabulary and grammar.
• Ability to understand oral and written directives.
• Ability to read and write Standard English text.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations.
• Demonstrates an understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs, specimen collection, hygiene assistance, positioning, transfers and transport.
• Support with feeding and elimination needs and ROM exercises.
• Follow strict infection control practices while observing, documenting, and reporting patient conditions.
