Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking an Administrative Clinical Care Partner to support the unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes inventory management, basic patient care, patient transfers and transports, and assisting with vital signs as needed.

The position requires CNA and BLS certifications, with a preferred year of CNA experience and prior clerical work in a hospital setting. Shift may vary to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, required
• One year CNA experience, preferred
• Clerical experience in an acute hospital environment, preferred
• Ability to complete an 8-hour computer data entry training course
• Ability to perform all delegated nursing and PT/OT/RT assisted tasks
• Understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations, preferred
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with others
• Skill in evaluating and reporting emergent patient/unit information
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under a heavy workload

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory of chart supplies, patient educational supplies, and daily unit supplies
• Performs basic patient care skills for Telemetry/Oncology/Stroke population under RN supervision
• Assists in transfers and transports patients before and after procedures
• Cleans and prepares gurneys and reports pertinent information to the RN
• ACCPS assist with vital signs and transports patients ready for discharge under RN discretion
