Job summary

APSI Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a Construction Field Project Manager/Inspector to provide full-time, on-site construction management services for the Huntington Federal Building Elevator Modernization Project under contract with the U.S.

General Services Administration (GSA). The role requires oversight of the contractor's schedule, quality control, and compliance with building codes and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum five years of construction experience.
• Knowledge of codes and standards (A17.1, IBC, OSHA, etc.).
• Ability to work full-time on-site during construction hours.

Responsibilities

• Review phasing and baseline CPM schedule.
• Verify procurement and submittal schedules for long-lead components.
• Conduct preconstruction conference proceedings.
• Review Quality Control Plan and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with GSA, building management, and tenants to minimize disruption.
• Monitor and verify subcontractor submittals follow Buy American Act and non-proprietary equipment.
• Perform frequent on-site inspections and track progress.
• Coordinate with A/E, Contractor, GSA PM, and Contracting Officer during construction.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and closeout documents.
