Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary setting in Danbury, CT. This onsite, full-time contract runs ASAP through late November 2026, with compensation ranging from $25.50 to $45.00 per hour.

You will deliver instructional support, develop differentiated plans, and collaborate with families and staff to meet IEP goals. Qualifications include a valid special education certification and a Bachelor's in Special Education.

Qualifications

Valid Special Education Teacher certification required.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
Experience with elementary students preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Deep commitment to fostering equitable educational opportunities for diverse learners.
Ability to implement and document effective, individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

Deliver direct instructional support tailored to students' individual educational needs.
Develop differentiated lesson plans that accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate closely with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families.
Monitor, track, and communicate student progress towards IEP goals.
Foster a safe and nurturing classroom culture that promotes personal and academic growth.
Participate in IEP meetings and support compliance with state and federal regulations.
