Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions Inc is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an elementary resource room in Connecticut. The role serves a caseload of about 15 students, developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with families and staff.

Ideal candidates hold a CT educator certificate with a Comprehensive Special Education endorsement and have experience adapting curriculum and monitoring progress. The position offers competitive pay and strong support from a dedicated Relationship Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field is required.
• Connecticut educator certificate with a Comprehensive Special Education endorsement is required.
• Experience developing, implementing, and managing IEPs is necessary.
• Knowledge of IDEA and CT special education requirements is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with CT and federal requirements.
• Provide specialized instruction in resource, self-contained, inclusive, and one-on-one settings.
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor progress using formal and informal assessments to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Attend Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings and IEP reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation including IEPs and progress reports.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and positive behavioral supports.
• Support students in academic, social-emotional, and life skills development.
• Follow all state and school policies governing special education services.
