Job summary

System One is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects in Frederick, MD. The role requires coordinating technical and administrative activities onsite with the project team to ensure compliance with engineering standards and design instructions.

You will assist with estimating, procurement coordination, and invoicing while advancing toward leadership responsibilities in a direct-hire, onsite role at a compensation range of $80,000-$120,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ABET-accredited (or equivalent).
• 3–4 years in project engineering or similar role, open to 2+ years.
• Experience in electrical construction or with an electrical contractor.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to project team for standards and specs.
• Troubleshoot installation and field issues; propose practical solutions.
• Support project closeout, including punch list planning and execution.
• Prepare specifications and documentation for purchasing materials/equipment.
• Assist with estimating and change order management.
• Support design coordination, commissioning, and procurement coordination.
• Generate and submit invoices and support O&M manual compilation/submittal.
