Job summary

Regal Rexnord Downers Grove seeks an experienced Electrical and Mechanical maintenance technician to maintain machinery, equipment and facilities at the Rexnord Downers Grove location. Responsibilities include PMs, pipe fitting, welding, light machining, electrical/mechanical repairs and installing, aligning and servicing equipment.

This onsite role reports to the Maintenance Manager. Work hours are 6am-2pm, Monday–Friday, with benefits starting on day one and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial machinery and facilities.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and CMMS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Make modifications to controls and document changes; diagnose problems and perform repairs.
• Assemble, install and repair wiring and electrical components; install new equipment to power sources.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment across departments; support manufacturing.
• May weld to join or repair metal parts as per work orders and blueprints.
• Maintain inventory for repair parts; order parts and check availability and cost.
• Record repairs and generate PM and corrective reports in CMMS.
• Develop and perform preventative maintenance work orders for plant equipment.
• Train others on PM, welding, machining, electrical, and assembly of new equipment.
• Promote safety awareness and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
