Job summary

RTX is seeking a Design Engineer for the on-site team in Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to developing and maintaining production and engineering test equipment, interfaces, and interconnects, collaborating with multidiscipline teams to ensure readiness for weapon system deliveries.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and at least 2 years of related engineering experience in a hands-on environment. On-site work and security requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical engineering design including troubleshooting, analysis, and test.
• Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and handle several engineering tasks concurrently.
• Develop engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, and schematic/circuit design.
• Troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation in Factory Test Platform solutions.
• Interact with Engineering, Operations PTEs, and program personnel to support factory readiness and robustness.
• Support the development and derivation of hardware and electrical product requirements.
