Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking an on-site EHS Technician in Menlo Park for a 6-month contract with extension potential. You will support laboratory safety, hazardous waste management, chemical inventory control, regulatory compliance, and facility readiness, collaborating with lab personnel, facilities teams, and EHS leadership to keep the lab safe and audit-ready.

The role involves inspections, waste handling, equipment readiness, and training support, with a swing shift and weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health, Industrial Technology or related field.
• 1–2+ years in laboratory operations, hazardous waste management, chemical inventory, and industrial EHS programs; semiconductor/manufacturing/research environments preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, waste practices, and regulatory compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support routine laboratory safety inspections and audits.
• Manage hazardous waste collection, labeling, packaging, and staging.
• Maintain chemical inventory records, SDS documentation, and storage locations.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, training, and onboarding programs.
• Support environmental monitoring, sample collection, and coordination with external labs.
