Job summary

ERM is hiring motivated hands-on EHS Technicians to support our key technology client onsite in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, split-schedule (3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off), limited-term role with a duration of 12 months, extendable.

Day and night shift available. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting implementation of OSHA requirements, SOPs, Health and Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analysis, Emergency Response Plans, and risk assessment processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience providing EHS support, health and safety focus.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma safety methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Certification in CIH and/or CSP/ASP is a plus but not required.
• OSHA 30, or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting processes.
• Must wear Tyvek bunny suit in controlled environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update Daily 6s Safety Audit Log; monitor, correct and track issues until closed.
• Identify follow-up corrective actions to close audit findings.
• Maintain accurate records and analyze data in Excel; prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations.
• Use Outlook and Teams for communication, scheduling and reporting.
• Provide weekly activity reports to EHS Managers and Senior Specialists.
• Support Safety Committee Meetings and monthly Safety Walks.
• Assist with Emergency Action Plans and drills as scheduled.
• Conduct compliance and system audits to ensure project adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with near-miss/incident investigations as requested by Client EHS personnel.
• Verify proper use of PPE and organization of safety equipment.
• Serve as the voice of engineering for safety needs and improvements.
• Escalate issues and share improvement ideas with Site Sr EHS Specialist weekly.
• Support client safety initiatives through training, coaching and targeted EHS assessments.
• Develop EHS procedures, plans, permits and reports.
• Assist ERM Partners and Project Managers in delivering projects.
• Foster strong collaboration with ERM colleagues.
