Job summary

Wonderful Citrus, located in Gloucester City, NJ, seeks a Safety Specialist for Environmental, Health & Safety Operations. The role is 100% onsite with a second shift, focusing on safety program development and incident reduction across the site.

The candidate will lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and coordinate training while ensuring compliance with OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AA/AS preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and general computer usage.
• Strong observational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work flexible shifts for 7-day operation.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and investigates work-related injuries.
• Guides plant personnel with safety and health opportunities.
• Reviews incident trends; recommends corrective actions.
• Supports forklift and aerial lift certification processes.
• Interacts with third-party organizations to meet project goals safely.
• Supports safety training programs.
• Validates incident report information for accuracy.
• Investigates incidents with cross-functional teams to find root causes.
• Monitors OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations and safety programs.
• Assists with development and execution of programs.
• Conducts scheduled audits to identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Performs exterior security patrols and security equipment inspections.
• Responds to service calls and alarms; handles lock/unlock tasks.
• Maintains understanding of site emergency procedures.
