Job summary

HP Hood is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead technical and program management for a business unit at a fixed facility location. You will plan, direct, and provide advanced environmental and safety support to operations on the floor with high visibility.

You will design training, perform hazard analyses, run inspections, and oversee investigations to identify root causes. Expect collaboration with regulators, insurers, and internal teams to drive safety performance.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in science, engineering or related discipline and 5–10+ years of related experience.
• Credentials as OHST or CSP or other recognized certifications are a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training; perform job hazard analysis on safety and environmental matters.
• Conduct workplace safety and environmental inspections and audits.
• Facilitate investigations of near misses and injuries; determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Administer and implement EHS programs and policies per OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements; maintain records.
• Implement written EHS programs and safety policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Administer the local hearing conservation program per OSHA requirements; manage the contractor safety manual.
• Coordinate Workers' Compensation claims and analyze injury/illness trends to reduce risks.
• Serve as liaison with insurance representatives; participate in inspections and strategize safety improvements.
