Job summary

Castelion is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to support Midland's manufacturing and test operations. This hands-on role blends field presence with technical risk assessment, driving practical controls and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

You will partner with manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams to inspect operations, lead risk assessments, and implement robust EHS programs including LOTO, PPE, and hazard communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Field-based work experience in EHS, safety engineering, or manufacturing safety.
• Experience conducting hazard assessments and incident investigations.
• Ability to translate hazards into practical controls and actions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for field and office work.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, hands-on EHS support for manufacturing, test, and facility operations.
• Identify and evaluate workplace and process hazards and develop practical controls.
• Lead risk assessments including JHAs, PHAs, and equipment/process reviews.
• Support new equipment or process changes by evaluating EHS risks and establishing controls.
• Execute core EHS programs including LOTO, machine safety, PPE, and chemical handling.
• Conduct routine field inspections and drive corrective actions to closure.
