Job summary

Castelion is seeking an EHS Engineer for its Midland, Texas operations. The role focuses on hands-on environmental, health & safety support across manufacturing and test activities, including energetic material processing and safety program implementation.

The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing, test, engineering, and facilities teams to identify hazards, implement practical controls, and lead risk assessments to ensure compliance and safe operations in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental health & safety, or related field.
• 3+ years of EHS, safety engineering, or related experience in manufacturing/defense/industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and common EHS programs.
• Experience conducting hazard assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, hands-on EHS support for manufacturing and test operations.
• Identify and evaluate workplace hazards; develop practical controls with engineering/operations.
• Lead risk assessments including JHAs, PHAs, and equipment/process reviews.
• Support new equipment/process changes by evaluating EHS risks and controls.
• Execute and maintain core EHS programs (LOTO, machine safety, PPE, etc.).
• Conduct field inspections to verify controls and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Lead incident/near-miss investigations and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Management of day-to-day environmental compliance activities (hazardous waste, spills).
