Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Consultant to join our Somerville Advisory Services team. The role focuses on EH&S program delivery, hazard assessment, and client support in the greater Boston area.

You will measure hazards, inspect equipment, conduct safety trainings, and develop EH&S systems while coordinating with a Regional EHS Director. Onsite, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an EH&S capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related scientific field.

Responsibilities

• Measure occupational and environmental hazards using calibrated equipment.
• Assess the effectiveness of engineered controls such as fume hoods.
• Inspect machinery and equipment like lifting devices and guards.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and PPE usage evaluations.
• Identify hazards and help implement control measures and ventilation adjustments.
• Investigate accidents and injuries and recommend corrective action.
• Communicate safety issues with client staff and recommend actions.
• Deliver routine EH&S trainings (new employee orientation, hazard communication, forklift training).
• Write reports and OSHA recordkeeping entries.
• Develop areas of occupational health and safety systems (policies, procedures, manuals).
