Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Consultant for our Mid-Atlantic regional team. The role is onsite at client sites in Rockville, MD, reporting to a Regional EHS Director.

You will conduct hazard assessments, inspections, and safety trainings, while helping implement controls and improve client safety programs. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of EH&S experience, a related degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of EH&S experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to stay calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Measure occupational and environmental hazards using calibrated equipment and sampling.
• Assess effectiveness of engineered controls (e.g., fume hoods).
• Inspect machinery, lifting devices, guards, and scaffolding.
• Conduct safety inspections and PPE usage evaluations.
• Identify hazards and help implement control measures (ventilation, etc.).
• Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Communicate safety issues to client personnel and propose actions.
• Provide routine EH&S trainings (orientation, hazard communication, forklift).
• Write reports and OSHA recordkeeping entries.
• Assist in developing health and safety policies and manuals.
