Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced EH&S Specialist to support environmental compliance at the Middletown, CT site. You will manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, chemical management, reporting, and related programs, partnering with operations and facilities to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in environmental compliance (Advanced degree allowed).
• CT DPH WTP Operator & DS Operator Class I License or plan to obtain within 12–18 months.
• Experience managing environmental compliance programs under RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA with hazardous waste focus.
• Hands-on experience with hazardous waste characterization, labeling, manifests and vendor management.
• Experience with EPA RCRA Info/e-Manifest and EPA CDX reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee waste compliance program, include report preparation/submittal and internal coordination.
• Manage Chemical reporting (EPCRA/TSCA/TRI) and related environmental programs.
• Collaborate with operations, facilities, and maintenance to implement compliant processes.
• Support EH&S audits and on-site regulatory inspections and incident response.
