Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford seeks an experienced EH&S professional to lead site safety programs and regulatory compliance. You will partner with labor unions, management, and shop personnel to drive robust health and safety initiatives across a large multi‑tenant site.

You will deliver technical EH&S guidance, conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, and push continuous improvement within the site’s safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree with 5–8 years EH&S regulatory experience.
• Strong EH&S regulatory and management systems knowledge.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Manage key Health and Safety programs (Ionizing Radiation, Confined Space, Machine Guarding, and others).
• Provide technical EH&S expertise to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions to improve safety performance.
• Conduct audits/inspections and develop action plans with line management.
• Coach and mentor teams; communicate with unions and management.
• Integrate EH&S programs with broader business operations and governance.
