Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Springdale, AR is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety inspector to support plant operations. The role focuses on inspections, waste management, spill response, and ensuring compliance with EPA and state regulations.

You will work onsite, handle hazardous waste, document activities, and contribute to safe, compliant manufacturing. A HS diploma and 2 years of related experience are required, with preferred associates in environmental fields.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in environmental/EHS in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of RCRA, SPCC, stormwater, and air compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EHS inspections including waste areas, chemical storage, stormwater controls, and air emission points.
• Manage hazardous and universal waste handling, labeling, storage, and pickups.
• Support spill prevention and first-response activities; maintain spill kit availability.
• Verify chemical storage and ensure SDS access; review new chemical environmental aspects.
• Complete environmental logs, documentation, and shift handoff notes.
• Assist with SPCC, stormwater, air permit, and wastewater compliance tasks.
• Provide basic safety support and respond to shift-level EHS incidents.
• Work independently during AWW hours.
