Job summary

System One, Inc. in Stoystown, PA is seeking a Drafter to create detailed drawings and specifications for manufactured truck bodies and trailers. You will develop 3D models, generate production drawings, and prepare materials lists to support fabrication.

The role requires experience with Inventor and AutoCAD, familiarity with ERP software, and a solid grip on geometry and drafting standards. Onsite work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with direct hire employment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2 years of related experience or training
• Competency at Jr. Drafter/Designer level
• Experience with 3D modeling and design in Inventor and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management system requirements

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings and specs for truck bodies and trailers
• Develop 3D models in Inventor and AutoCAD
• Generate drawings from sketches or parts
• Revise designs to meet work orders
• Prepare bills of materials for parts
• Process sales work orders and related BOMs
• Print and distribute production drawings
• Create proposal drawings for customers
• Write programs for production tools
• Maintain a shared work order database
• Assign orders to engineering staff with the Engineering Manager
• Flag resource shortfalls and report progress to improve efficiency
• Track schedule and report slippage to improve efficiency
• Comply with ISO 9001 provisions
• Follow safety rules and PPE
• Lead and mentor junior drafters/designers
