Everforth Apex seeks a Digital Engineer for an on-site role in San Diego to design, develop, integrate, and test VHDL-based digital designs for software-defined radio firmware.

The position requires a BS in a related STEM field with five years of VHDL experience (or MS with three years) and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Collaboration across Systems, Hardware, and Test teams is essential in a structured development environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a related STEM field required.
• Five years with BS or three years with MS; hands-on VHDL design experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test VHDL-based digital designs for customers.
• Work with FPGA programming tools and environments.
• Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Test teams.
• Operate in waterfall or Agile software processes.
• Analyze operation concepts and design docs to fix issues.
