Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite DevOps Engineer to join a government consulting firm in Springfield, VA. The role focuses on secure AWS cloud platforms (C2S/GovCloud) and CI/CD pipelines, with a requirement for an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.

You will implement IaC, work across security, development, and operations teams, and monitor systems with CloudWatch and Kibana. The position offers challenging projects and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience or Associate's degree plus 12 years of experience or a minimum of 15 years of experience
• Strong experience with AWS (C2S or GovCloud), CI/CD tools, and DevOps practices
• Proficiency in Linux systems, networking, and system administration
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with OS installation, configuration, and performance tuning
• Ability to resolve complex system issues and communicate/escalate effectively
• Must hold an active US Government TS/SCI CI Poly clearance

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain secure AWS (C2S/GovCloud) cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support scalable and repeatable environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across systems, applications, and network layers
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to streamline deployments
• Monitor system health and performance using tools such as CloudWatch and Kibana
