Job summary

Zones, an IT solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician for 100% onsite work in Nashville, TN. The contract-to-hire role requires 8+ years in IT, strong printer/desktop support, and reliable remote assistance with on-site dispatch when needed.

You will install OS and applications, troubleshoot hardware/software, manage printers, and participate in continuous improvement of deskside services while ensuring adherence to SLAs and compliance processes.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in troubleshooting software, printers, projectors, and remote/call support.
Experience with laptop/desktop and printer hardware issues.
Experience in executive/site support and evaluating Wi‑Fi/network problems.
Understanding of end-user remote support and on-site dispatch when needed.

Responsibilities

Respond and resolve IT related issues over the phone and tickets.
Installation of operating system and user applications.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers of all types including laser, thermal, and impact.
Develop and maintain deskside operations and procedures in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
Provide resources during critical situations.
Manage Deskside Services staffing to location needs.
Maintain escalation contact lists for Deskside Services.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce escalations.
Identify solutions to minimize escalation needs (training, self-help, automation).
Provide ongoing improvement and innovation for user experience.
