Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Design Release Engineer on a 12+ months contract located in Auburn Hills, MI.

The role requires hands-on design release, DFMEA/DVP&R expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive fuel system components from design through launch. The ideal candidate will have a BS/ME/MECH/Electrical background, 5+ years of automotive design experience, and experience with NX and TeamCenter.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• MS in Engineering is a plus.
• 5+ years of design/development automotive engineering in Fuel Systems and/or UREA preferred.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Prototyping experience.
• Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all program milestone requirements on time and with quality.
• Manage design changes to components and resolve functional, durability, assembly issues as required.
• Utilize DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, adherence to specifications and best practices.
• Lead technical design reviews for components at key program milestones and management reviews.
• Review validation setup at internal location or supplier and report results to management.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure robust design of fuel components through milestones and launch.
• Be on site at production plant & engineering office to support builds and issue resolution.
• Ensure quality post program launch by supporting warranty reviews.
