Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Fuel System Application Design & Release Engineer to join our propulsion and fuel systems team. You will design, develop, validate, and release fuel system components for current and future programs, collaborating with manufacturing, purchasing, quality and supplier partners.

You will conduct DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and simulations, lead verification testing, and manage changes and BOM accuracy throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 2+ years of design and release experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with fuel systems, emissions, and regulatory standards is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release fuel system components for passenger vehicles and trucks.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and specs in Ford PLM tools.
• Coordinate with CAE teams on DFMEA, tolerances, and simulations.
• Lead and support design verification, testing, and issue resolution.
• Manage BOM and ECL process through the program lifecycle.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to address issues and cost targets.
• Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
