Job summary

The role involves collaboration with DevOps, software, data engineering, and system operations teams, handling data life cycle from ingestion to deployment while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 4+ years as a Data Scientist with statistical modeling and ML on large data
• Experience with data storage/management tools (S3, SQL, MongoDB, HBase, Apache Atlas, Kafka)
• Programming experience in Python, R, or similar data manipulation languages (pandas, numpy, polars, dask)
• Experience with data science tools (JupyterHub/Notebooks, Apache Spark, MATLAB)
• Knowledge of data modeling principles
• Experience extracting insights from structured and unstructured data
• Cloud development experience, preferably AWS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• US Citizen with TOP SECRET/SCI Eligible clearance or ability to obtain
• Successful completion of background check

Responsibilities

• Architect and prototype data management and application development pipelines in cloud/local environments
• Perform data analytics on simulated and real-world data
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse sources
• Develop applications and models for various user groups
• Provide technical input to program managers and government representatives
