Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP, a premier AmLaw 200 firm, seeks a Data Warehouse Engineer to own data movement into Snowflake and maintain on-prem SQL Server health. You will design, build, and operate a scalable analytics data platform supporting key business domains, with hands-on data modeling and performance tuning.

This role involves ingesting data from multiple sources, managing Snowflake and SQL Server environments, and collaborating with analysts to deliver reliable data products for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting data pipelines from source systems into a cloud data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines from source databases (SQL Server and other relational systems) into Snowflake.
• Integrate data from third-party SaaS platforms (CRM, product analytics, finance).
• Monitor pipeline runs, resolve failures, and set up alerting and data-quality checks.
• Document source-to-target mappings, refresh schedules, and dependencies.
• Partner with analysts to turn requirements into well-defined data products.
• Maintain Snowflake databases, warehouses, schemas, and roles with least-privilege access.
