Job summary

Cincinnati State Technical & Community College is seeking an onsite Data Analyst to strengthen data governance, improve data quality, and support an institutional reporting environment (Entrinsik Informer). The role partners with data stewards and security to ensure compliant data usage and accurate state reporting.

The successful candidate will manage data definitions, metadata, and retention, while guiding campus users on data standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Four years of data IT experience with a bachelor's degree, or six years with an associate’s degree, or eight years total experience.
• Experience in data warehousing, data governance, and data dictionary.
• Experience with reporting tools: Entrinsik Informer, Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports.
• Database experience: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Access, MySQL.
• Higher education ERP knowledge with Ellucian Colleague.
• Experience with federal/state reporting.
• Software development experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET or Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain institutional data governance frameworks.
• Document data definitions, ownership, usage rules, and IT retention policies.
• Monitor data quality across enterprise systems and propose corrective actions.
• Support FERPA and GDPR compliance where applicable.
• Maintain the College’s reporting environment (Entrinsik Informer).
• Collaborate with data stewards and IT to deliver data solutions.
• Provide training and guidance on data standards and best practices.
