Job summary

Edisto Consulting Group is recruiting a Data Entry / Accounting Clerk for an established client in downtown Columbia, SC, near Williams-Brice Stadium. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with conversion to permanent after approximately 90 days based on performance and business needs.

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers. This position involves data entry, basic accounting tasks, and general office support.

Qualifications

• Experience in data entry, bookkeeping, or accounting support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate information in accounting databases.
• Process invoices, payments, and other financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Review documents for accuracy and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper files.
• Create and update spreadsheets and reports.
• Assist with purchase orders, billing, and expense tracking.
• Provide general administrative and operational support.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal staff as needed.
