Job summary

Convergenz is seeking Hardware Engineers to support onsite data center operations in New Albany, Ohio. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise in data center infrastructure and Layer 1 networking. You will independently address onsite risks, collaborate with various teams to validate requirements for critical systems, and contribute to design decisions.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. This position offers opportunities for extension and conversion.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience deploying and maintaining complex data center environments.
• Understanding of indoor/outdoor cable plants.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure including firewalls, servers, and storage.
• Familiarity with EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to onsite risks and issues.
• Manage troubleshooting and incident queues.
• Collaborate to validate requirements and execute user stories.
• Contribute to design decisions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and support onboarding.
