Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions seeks a dedicated Custodian to maintain clean, safe environments in and around data center areas. The role covers dusting, floors, and sensitive-area cleaning under established standards and safety guidelines.

The position requires 1 year of custodial experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. On-site work in Annapolis Junction, MD with competitive pay and potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of commercial cleaning experience, including sensitive areas or data centers.
• Experience with cleaning and waxing compounds, floor buffers and custodial equipment.
• Knowledge of specialty cleaning: HPL floors, VCT, ULPA, anti-static finishes, subfloors.
• Strong safety practices and ability to follow instructions.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain clearance; background/drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean designated areas per schedules and standards.
• Document work accurately and timely according to procedures.
• Coordinate times and access with customers to minimize disruption.
• Report scheduling challenges to reduce late work completion.
• Use appropriate supplies and tools for each task; follow safety protocols.
• Strip and refinish vinyl composition tile (VCT) and maintain equipment.
