Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for a Cable Puller / Infrastructure Technician to support a major data center build in Red Oak, TX, onsite. The contract role runs 4–8 months with strong potential for extension and possible full-time conversion. Pay is $25.00/hr with heavy overtime (80 hrs/week, 1.5x) and start date Oct 5, 2026.

6–7 days per week, 12-hour shifts, with occasional Sunday work. Shuttle transportation is provided to the job site.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic and copper cabling experience in data centers.
• Ability to pull, route, dress, label, and terminate cabling.
• Experience with rack-and-stack of network gear.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and install fiber optic and copper cabling across the data center.
• Run, pull, dress, bundle, and label network cabling to project standards.
• Rack and stack network equipment and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform fiber and copper terminations.
• Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes and patch panels.
• Maintain cable organization and pathway management for large deployments.
• Support data center buildouts while following safety standards.
• Follow site safety policies and procedures.
