Job summary

Piper Companies in Red Oak, TX is seeking a Cable Technician for a large data center build. The role is fully on-site with 12-hour shifts day or night, seven days a week, through February 2027 with possible extension.

You will install and test low-voltage cable including fiber optics and copper, interpret blueprints, and assemble telecom room components. OSHA 10 certification is required or obtainable; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in installing, pulling, terminating, and testing cable.
• Must have PPE and safety equipment.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, OSHA 10 certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and crawl/bend/stretch into tight spaces.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.
• Team lead experience is a plus.
