Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to support the Critical Facilities Manager in San Antonio. The role oversees day-to-day operations for critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure and coordinates maintenance, incidents, and site projects to achieve high availability.

The successful candidate will provide technical direction to technicians, manage shift coverage, and maintain safety and documentation standards across BAS, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and alarm systems.

Qualifications

• Technical education or at least three years of equivalent experience in critical operations, electrical or mechanical systems, high‑performance manufacturing, relevant military operations, or another comparable environment.
• At least three years of experience in a position demonstrating leadership among peers. Experience as a lead technician, shift lead, chief engineer, or supervisor is relevant.
• Working knowledge of mission critical electric

Responsibilities

• Support the Critical Facilities Manager in directing daily operations and maintenance for critical electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety, controls, and monitoring systems.
• Provide technical direction to critical facilities technicians and act for the Critical Facilities Manager when assigned.
• Help set priorities, coordinate shift coverage, and maintain clear turnover between teams.
• Serve as a day-to-day onsite contact for facility matters. Communicate operating status, planned work, incidents, risks, and follow‑up actions to the client and ABM leadership within required service levels.
• Lead the use and improvement of methods of procedure, standard operating procedures, and emergency operating procedures.
