Medical Mutual in Cleveland, OH is seeking a temporary Credit & Collections Specialist to perform corporate credit and collection functions for all lines of business. This onsite role requires three days per week at our Brooklyn office and focuses on achieving current payment status with delinquent accounts.

You will contact group officials and individuals by phone or mail, reinstate coverage for cancelled accounts when parameters are met, and assist with the monitoring of payments using

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 1 year credit and collections experience or equivalent administrative support experience in a health insurance or other business-related environment.

Aufgaben

• Performs credit and collection activities for assigned lines of business to achieve current payment status on accounts in accordance with company policy.
• Handles assigned delinquent accounts through correspondence and telephone contact with group officials and/or individuals to attain current payment status.
• Maintains subsequent accounts to determine follow up action needed when accounts do not fulfill payment commitments.
• Utilizes system generated collection reports and cash receipts reports on an ongoing basis to identify delinquent accounts and to monitor subsequent payments.
• For cancelled accounts, refers to established parameters to decide whether or not the account may be reinstated. Refers appeals of the decision to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
