Job summary

The role focuses on evaluating credit risk, managing accounts receivable, and supporting responsible sales while protecting company assets. The analyst investigates new and existing customers, evaluates financial capacity and payment behavior, and makes credit recommendations within policy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking ability, including the ability to evaluate financial, payment, customer, or account information and form supportable conclusions.
• Ability and willingness to communicate professionally with external B2B customers and internal partners by telephone, email, and other written formats.
• Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills in an environment with multiple simultaneous responsibilities and changing business demands.
• Ability to exercise judgment, work through incomplete or conflicting information, and recognize when escalation is required.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting concepts, business math, accounts receivable, or related financial processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate, timely, and appropriately documented records.
• Ability to learn new systems, processes, portfolio requirements, and commercial-credit concepts and to apply coaching and feedback.
• Ability to handle difficult collection, dispute, or risk conversations with professionalism, tact, and appropriate firmness.

Responsibilities

• Review new account applications, renewals, and requests for credit or limit changes; obtain and evaluate credit reports, references, and financial information.
• Analyze financial statements, payment history, aging trends, credit utilization, and purchasing requirements to identify risks.
• Establish or recommend credit limits, terms, and risk-mitigation measures based on analysis.
• Monitor accounts for payment behavior, exposure, and changes; perform periodic reviews and adjust limits/terms as needed.
• Review accounts receivable aging, contact past-due customers, secure commitments, and document actions.
• Investigate billing and account issues; drive resolution while maintaining controls.
• Evaluate orders on credit hold and release within authority or escalate with justification.
• Communicate with customers about past-due balances and next steps; maintain professional communications.
