Job summary

United Future seeks a licensed Psychologist to provide mental health services in a correctional facility setting. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support inmate well-being.

Responsibilities include clinical interviews, crisis intervention, and routine rounds to monitor mental health needs. Onsite work is required, with a potential signing bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license.
• Proven experience in a clinical or correctional setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and examination of available records.
• Collaborate with other clinical staff, including psychiatrists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient needs and functioning.
• Perform regular rounds in various housing areas to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health requirements.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and interventions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and deliver crisis intervention strategies to support inmates in distress.
• Engage in consultations with staff across various departments to gain insights into behavioral issues and mental health changes among inmates.
